China mackerel imports: All the key data, Jan - Sept 2014

Chinese imports of frozen mackerel from around the globe, Q1-Q3 2014

Selling into China? Find out all the key data on frozen mackerel volumes and importers for January to the end of September 2014 with this report. Compiled by Customs Inform, China frozen mackerel imports: Jan - Sept 2014 gives you a clear and precise overview of mackerel imports in China. The report is the best source of information on Chinese mackerel imports, and is part of a periodical series released by Customs Inform on the seafood industry. An EXCEL version with access to all the raw data is also available on demand at no extra cost, just email us at customsinform@undercurrentnews.com after purchasing the report. Fewer words, More data The report breaks down the data into value and volumes, with a list of the 60 largest importers ranked by volume and contact details for 60% of the top 80 importers. It includes charts showing the largest exporting countries, and a month-by-month breakdown of imports into China in value and volumes, and average prices. The charts reveal that Norway is comfortably the largest exporter of mackerel to China. Much of this is likely bound to Japan, the biggest buyer of Norwegian mackerel. However, Norway has seen its dominance challenged in 2014, as the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Faroe Islands have emerged from being insignificant suppliers in 2013 to becoming key importers the following year. This has reduced Norway's market share significantly, from 85% to less than two-thirds. In the excel version, you also find all import/export dates, quantities, prices, delivery points and detailed description of goods. The raw data also specifies the trade flow of the imports, splitting volumes into storage transit, inbound transactions, and so on.
